Aaron Miko

Aloha! I’m Aaron.  I’m a passionate yoga teacher with over 10 years of experience guiding students to find balance, strength, and peace on and off the mat. Originally from Hawaii, I began my yoga journey as a way to manage the stress of my fast-paced career in the fashion industry and intense gym workouts. What started as a tool for balance soon became an essential practice for my overall well-being, especially in helping me manage my ADHD.

Yoga has transformed my life by offering not just a physical workout, but a mental and emotional grounding. Over the years, it has become the cornerstone of my healthy lifestyle, and I now share this gift with others. My classes are designed to be intentional and dynamic, combining challenging postures and arm balances with a mindful flow, before culminating in a soothing and restorative rest.

I believe yoga is about more than just flexibility and building strength—it’s about cultivating awareness,  compassion, and peace. Whether you're seeking to get a full-body workout, manage stress, or just carve out a space for you to tune-in to yourself I’m here to guide you on your journey with patience, authenticity, and encouragement. Join me on the mat, where we’ll work hard, breathe deeply, and leave feeling restored.

Christine Fronterotta

Our beloved Saturday instructor! With 8+ years of yoga experience, Christine is passionate about sharing the gifts of mindfulness and holistic wellness. Her ample teaching experiences include her years in yoga studio management, teaching abroad in Costa Rica, yoga for schools, prison yoga Santa Barbara, company yoga, and much more. She is a certified Usui Reiki Healer, sound healer, and energy healing intuitive. She enjoys continuing her education in the areas of trauma awareness, somatic experiencing, and the decolonization of her personal and teaching practice. Additionally, she is a Yoga Educator with well over 1,000 hours of yoga instruction and has certified other students to become instructors. She is passionate about offering healing modalities and techniques to others.

Carina Murillo

My yoga journey began in 2014 and after 6 months of practicing dove into a 200 hour Power Yoga training at Corepower yoga in Santa Barbara then in 2016 flew to New York to complete a 90 hour Intensive Yin Yoga training with Torey Trover, a year later in 2017 I traveled to British Columbia, Canada to do a 40 hour Meditation Revealed course with Bernie Clark. Recently in 2023 completed a 32 hour Foundational Training (through the lens of Trauma and Incarceration) through Prison Yoga Project and I’m currently teaching at the Northern Branch County Jail teaching yoga to the men’s units. With the blend of these three yoga styles and the variety of teaching environments, my way of teaching has evolved and become naturally creative. My classes offer unique movements, transitions, breath work and a little taste of yin to guide students into recognizing their potential. Inspired by the creativity and freedom that vinyasa & yin yoga offer, she combines exploration, alignment, mobility, fluidity, strength, repetitive movements (to make it make sense) and meditation in her classes. I love to design and create playlists to lead you deeper into your flow and through all the uncomfortable moments on your mat. 

 

Laura Urquidez

Laura has been practicing yoga since she was in high school and took her first teacher training by studying Ashtanga under Steve and Michelle Dwilley in Santa Barbara 25 years ago. Since then, Laura has studied Power Yoga, Vinyasa, Anusara, Kundalini, Yoga Nidra and more under some of the most well-known teachers in the world including Baron Baptiste, Bryan Kest, Maty Ezrati, John Friend, Shiva Rae, and Gurmukh. She also holds a Vinyasa Krama certification from Srivasta Ramaswami, the longest student of Krishnamacharya other than his own son, and completed a 2 week intensive learning every single syllable of the Bhagavad Gita in Sanskrit with him.

As a teacher, Laura loves to guide a strong vinyasa practice inspired by the ancient traditions, philosophy and devotion of yoga. She is drawn to Bhakti yoga “yoga of love,” where life and practice itself is a devotion to God. She often incorporates beautiful mythological stories drawn from Hindu literature, art and music in her classes. Her vast knowledge and extensive training in all aspects of the practice shines through in her classes as she elegantly shares what she has learned with her students.

 

Lynnette Kufeldt

Lynnette Received her RYT 200 yoga teacher training with Prema Yoga. Additionally, she received her chair yoga certification through Sunlight Yoga with Stacie Dooreck and has trained with Sonia Sumar and Yoga for the Special Child. Lynnette specializes in Gentle, Restorative, and Yin Yoga and is also a certified reiki practitioner. She is great at helping people find balance and a sense of calm and relaxation. She is a beautiful healer. Join her classes to rejuvenate and release tension and stress from the business of life.

 
 

Tia Kahn

Tia is a certified 200-hour yoga teacher through both the Yoga and Ayurveda Center as well as CorePower Yoga. She loves to teach classes that manifest a sense of personal growth in a student’s physical practice as well as an inner peace to carry through the rest of their day.
